Friday DIY Idea

TIGF! I trust everyone had a good week whether it was back to work or school, or still enjoying the bliss of vacation. I don't want to make anyone jealous, but I am one of those who was enjoying a nice week off still, however it's back to school for me on Monday.
I just wanted to leave you with this quick DIY before the weekend starts. A few months ago I found my necklace stand to be a bit impractical because it was too short for most of my necklaces and it didn't display them in an easy way to see my choices.
This easy to make jewelry hanger is so quick to make you'll have plenty of time to enjoy the rest of the weekend with your friends.

Materials:
Piece of wood (the lighter the better), 1-2 inch nails, spray paint

Step One
- Go to Michael's or hardware store to get a piece of wood. (Mine above was from Michael's and had a nice decorative touch, you can opt for a more natural looking wood or branch to make it more rustic. BE CREATIVE, BE YOU)

Step Two
- Measure out the spacing for where your nails will go and mark it in pencil.

Step Three
- Take out any of your frustrations from the past week and hammer away the nails into the wood. (Be sure it does NOT go through to the other side of the wood.)

Step Four
- Spray paint it what ever colour you want, or if you're feeling really creative... make a design... write words... glue embellishments... the options are endless and it will result in a jewelry hanger as unique as you =)

Step Five
- If you bought a predesigned piece of wood like above, chances are it will already have holes on the back to hang on the wall. If not, take a drill, or thicker nail and measure out 2 holes on the back of the wood. You only need holes big enough for you to hang on your wall.

You know you love me, XOXO
