Colour Me Soft
PASTELS have been a huge hit on the runway this season. This spring and summer will be completely filled with colours of all sorts; brights, blocked, neon... But also PASTELS, oh sweet dear PASTELS, how can we ever forget you since you graced the Chanel catwalk this spring? Then Louis Vuitton's collection revolved around these amazing hues; and then my personal favorite, the gorgeous PASTEL colour blocking at 3.1 Philip Lim. Diane Von Furstenberg also worked with PASTELS...
The list goes on and on. Need I say more?
We fell quick and hard, but this love affair isn't going to fizzle away anytime soon. PASTELS are the new neutrals. They are so easily paired with everything, from prints, other PASTELS (for a divinely soft look), black, white or brights. With the temperatures soaring up this spring and summer, you'll have to be careful because these hues will melt your popsicle in an instant!

Lace, Ruffles & Army Green
Hey everyone! Hope you had a good weekend. Even though today was Super Bowl Sunday, I was able to steal my husband away and go take pictures before the game started.
What a sweet man I have!
It was a little bit chilly today for this outfit as it is still winter, but since I got this army green jacket, I've been dying to pair it with a feminine lace dress.
A couple weeks ago I went shopping at Target and was able to find this awesome leather vest with a fur collar marked down to $10 ($80)!! I couldn't believe what a steal it was and it is so easy to pair with so many looks. I definitely recommend everyone get one of these. You'll find yourself wearing it with so many looks right from daytime to evening.
These shoes were perfect to go with this outfit too. I love how they combined the ruffles with the army green. Its a perfect combo!
Don't forget, the small accessories are just as important for a look. I love combining all different sorts of bangles together.

"My Heart's Gone Neon Black"
OK, I know what you might be thinking. The 80's/90's with the acid washed high waisted shorts, a neon tye-dye shirt, paired with a jean jacket... oh...and that scrunchy on top of our heads.
Yes like you, some of those memories send chills up my spine, but guess what darling? You're mom has a new hairstyle (hallelujah!), and honey, you've thrown those clothes out a looong time ago. Don't look back only forward, because it's a new era and NEON has been back with full-glamourous-force!
What's Your NEON Style:
NEON KNOCKOUT: You aren't afraid of a new trend and you take it straight to the top baby! You go all out. You wear a neon dress with bright shoes, or better yet add another trend and do a colour blocked shoe. But at this point you want to add a neutral like a little black leather jacket not to over power it, and remember to keep the jewelry to a minimum you're stunningly bright enough as it is!
NEON TRENDY: You've liked this trend since you saw it on the runways, and you love adding a splash of colour to your look. But now that you've rocked regular colours, it's time to step it up and add NEON, however you aren't ready for NEON pants or a dress yet. But you're at a place where you still want to make a statement. So go ahead, get yourself a bright NEON pink sweater and pair it with an otherwise, all black look. Or you can simply do a great NEON tank under a black blazer paired with jeans or black dress pants and maybe even dare go to work wearing NEON?
NEON NEW-COMER: You haven't tried this trend but oh my, are those brights desirable. You're not ready to go full force yet, so do a gorgeous NEON shoe with a more neutral palette of clothes. You can add a couple bright bangles, or a cute NEON clutch. Just stick with a couple splashes of NEON and before you know it, you'll be hooked!
I want to know: What's you're neon style? Comment below or tell me on twitter (@studioseventh) or send me a picture of you rocking this trend and I could feature your style on my blog!!!

Many people seem to think that fashion and warmth cannot go together, and it is no use in trying. But that is far from the truth!! There are so many stylish AND warm clothes we can wear, we just have to stop listening to the things people say otherwise, FASHION AND WARMTH CAN GO TOGETHER! And I have proof.
As I'm snowed into my house today, I wanted to share with everyone what I wish I was wearing if I ever ventured out of my doors. However, with no school or work today, I'll cozy up with a good magazine and some tea and enjoy the fact that it's -29 currently and I'm inside warm and cozy.
